Grace Takyi is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Music, School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana and lectures on Ghanaian and African popular musical arts and indigenous music traditions found in Ghana. Her research interests include gender issues in Ghanaian popular music, indigenous performance practices and gospel music. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology.
